WEEK'S UP - 25 AUGUST 2017

Hello everyone,

How was your week?  We trust that it was productive?

We had a good, first week back, and the teachers' illustrated account of that, follows.

From the Administration:

MORNING ARRIVAL TRAFFIC:

Thank you for your co-operation in arriving by 8:10 a.m.  We see that the children are having a more productive day by being in their classes by 8:15 a.m.  The teachers are very pleased, as they are able to get more out of the session. We request that you continue to extend your cooperation in this area.

SECURITY TAGS:

We have also noticed that our security identification tags are being worn by more parents/guardians when they are within the school compound.  Thank you.  Please approach the school office if you have not received your tags or have not returned the forms for us to process the tags for you.  This is a requirement by our licensing authorities and we ask that you work with us to achieve a 100% compliance with their mandate.

CULTURAL EVENTS:

Looking ahead, we have several cultural events to organize. We do need your help, to ensure that they are representative and entertaining. We ask that you consider volunteering, for one of more events to see to the above. Thank you.

For your easy reference, the following is our Calendar of Events for the term.

THE MONTESSORI ENVIRONMENT:

An update from the Violet Room:

We have had a happy and busy week with a few of our afternoon session children joining us in the morning.  The identical twins Eka and Ira have been having some fun, confusing us with their identities. That should give you a clue as to how close they look to each other.  But it was not long before the children reported: "Now we can tell who is who,
Ms Preeti.  They can’t trick us anymore!"

We have made a good beginning and look forward to a great term.
